So here's more of the 'Totally Tubular 3' sock. It is reminiscent of milk glass hobnail glassware to me so that's what I'm naming this pair.
Did I just name a pair of socks???
I've left a ball of yarn where the red waste yarn is so when I separate the socks I can add the crocheted border of sock 1, and the toe of sock 2, without splicing. There's a ball of yarn to work the toe of sock 1 at the beginning of the knitting. I just hope this ball of yarn doesn't run out before I finish the crochet at the top of sock 2. The heels will still be spliced in, but I see that as an advantage. It should make it easier to replace them.
